Seameadows Farm Bed & Breakfast is a small working farm rich in heritage dating back to early Nanoose settlement. It was over 100 years ago that some early settlers - by the name of Bonell - lived on the then 640 acres. Currently the river springs still feed into the sea and much of the farm grass lands are now a protected 80 acre refuge ~ So we have the benefit of easy access to the Nanoose Bay beach and estuary shoreline that afford a nice pastoral seascape view from the farm.
Breakfast
It was always a pleasure to have fresh fruit and garden products and this has not changed. Many of the farm fresh products are nurtured and still cultivated here on the farm and we are able to offer our guests the enjoyment of biting into wonderful heritage apples, bosch pears, and wonderful queen anne cherries. Michael has also added peaches that we wait with excitement each year to grace the table. And of course he is out there most days tending his garden for fresh produce much of the season. It's truely a bounty to delight the pallet and senses which he lovingly cultivates for your enjoyment and well being. Given this we are happy to say that morning breakfasts are a celebration of seasonal farm fresh products!
Local Activites
Local Events and Activities are many in the Oceanside area ~ but you can also take in a quite early evening or after breakfast stroll on the beach of Nanoose Bay. Debra especially enjoys the solitute of a kayak which also gives gentle exercise and is said to be a wonderful way to enjoy a sojourn out on the water. It's always nice to take in the natural sights like the heron, eagle and swan that we live in harmony with at nanooe Bay.

Seameadows Farm B&B is located in a mid Vancouver Island location on Nanoose Bay (between Nanaimo and Parksville). It is only a short 25 minute drive from the BC Ferries in Nanaimo. This location affords the opportunity to take in and visit Nanaimo, Nanoose, Parksville, Qualicum, and other Oceanside area events and attractions that vary between 5 and 20 minutes.
It's also a true joy to stop in for the night on route to the west coast and other further detinations.
The Farm is nestled in a pastoral seaside setting just off Island Highway (Route 19) ~ thus essily accessible, safe and comfortable.
Some guests have mentioned that they also like the availability of arriving via rail from victoria so they don't have to bring there car! This is an added benefit of the location, as the train stops right at the end of the drive. If you know in advance when you are travelling via rail also gives advance booking discounts and senior rates.
Your Hosts
Debra & Michael have resided on the farm for the past 30 years. "We enjoy sharing local knowledge and stories of the area and Island and have opened our door to B&B guests who would like to enjoy the benefits of a wholesome Island farm experience" as well as the garden, adjacent 80-acre wildlife estuary (originally part of the farm), and the natural seaside shoreline of Nanoose Bay.”
The Clayburn Guest Bedroom
Features Exclusive Comfortable Accommodation with wood plank flooring, vaulted ceiling, fireplace, and private entrance. It is nicely appointed with a queen four-posted bed and cozy linens. Additional comforts include a pull-out love seat (with memory foam) for that special person travelling with you, tea seating for two, and in-room complimentary coffee and tea.
The Private Ensuite
The private ensuite is yours to enjoy in the privacy of your room and features a large jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower. So you can refresh, and use the comfy robes provided to begin or end your day.
Rates
Guest accommodation is offered at $99 per night based on double occupancy during the summer and is reduced to $89 during shoulder seasons. Reservations of 4 nights and longer are also offered our discounted rate of $89 per night. The rates quoted include a delightful breakfast with each nights stay.
